As part of an initiative to enhance healthcare facilities in the Northern Province, the Government of Sri Lanka undertook the expansion of Point Pedro Base Hospital, supported by funding from the Government of the Netherlands. The development includes the construction of a modern Accident and Emergency Centre.
The facility comprises a three-storey main building with a total gross floor area of approximately 5,085 m², accommodating 84 beds and equipped with advanced medical technology. The hospital is designed to support key functions including Emergency, Trauma, Rehabilitation, Obstetrics, and Inpatient Services.
For the Point Pedro Base Hospital, DEMAQ delivered the following solutions:
