With the assistance of a loan granted by the Netherland constructs of Accident and Emergency Centre, the Government of Sri Lanka initiated a program to enhance the health facilities in the Northern Province. As a result, Mankulam Base Hospital received a single storey building that contained rehabilitation and emergency services, including a service building and staff accommodation. In addition, the building has a 485m2 GFA, 48 beds with the latest medical facility and technology. DEMAQ rendered the following solutions to the project:
